Bryan, Texas – ANCO Insurance is proud to announce its support for the Brazos Valley Rehabilitation Center (BVRC) with a donation of $4,650, contributing to the center’s mission to offer comprehensive physical, occupational, and speech therapy services. This donation is part of ANCO’s commitment to the 15th edition of the “Power of the Purse” event, a significant fundraiser aimed at helping community members with disabilities lead independent lives.
Members of ANCO’s sales and management team visited the BVRC facility on March 26, 2024, to present the donation. The visit included a tour of the facility and a reception, highlighting the tangible impacts of such contributions on the community. The Brazos Valley Rehabilitation Center, established in 1957, stands as the only freestanding nonprofit provider of a full spectrum of therapy services in the Brazos Valley, touching the lives of over 450 patients and families annually across seven counties. ANCO’s contribution underscores the shared belief in the power of community and the importance of accessible healthcare services for all, regardless of insurance coverage or ability to pay.
ANCO Insurance’s connection to BVRC is notably personal as J.O. Alexander, who served as a Senior Vice President at ANCO, also helped to co-found the BVRC. The foundation of the BVRC made a direct impact for Alexander, as it provided a local therapy center for his son Sid, who currently serves as a Senior Vice President at ANCO Insurance. This donation not only honors the legacy of the Alexander family and their foundational role in the establishment of BVRC, but also underscores ANCO’s commitment to supporting essential community services.
