Bryan, Texas (April 23, 2024) – ANCO Insurance, announced the sudden and unexpected passing of Mr. John Lynn, Senior Vice President and Controller earlier this week.
Joining ANCO in December 2004, John has been an integral part of our team for nearly two decades. With over 40 years of experience in the accounting profession, he has been pivotal in making critical financial decisions that shaped the future of ANCO Insurance. His dedication, expertise, and sense of humor have left an indelible mark on our organization.
John Lynn proudly earned his bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Economics from Texas A&M University in 1973, followed by two master’s degrees in Accounting and Finance from the University of Houston–Clear Lake. He also held a Graduate, Realtor Institute (GRI) designation, showcasing his broad knowledge and commitment to continual learning.
Outside of his professional endeavors, John also dedicated 25 years as the owner and broker of Lynn Land & Cattle Co. His passion for his work and knowledge in the field were evident to all who worked alongside him.
The Executive Team expressed their profound sorrow and respect, stating, “John was more than a colleague; he was a cornerstone of ANCO Insurance. His influence extended beyond his financial acumen; he brought stability and a cherished sense of humor to our daily operations. John’s legacy will endure in our company culture and the sound business practices he helped establish. He will be deeply missed both professionally and personally.”
John’s responsibilities and oversight of day-to-day operations will be continued by Ms. Susan Bailey, who will step into the role of Controller. Susan is committed to honoring John’s legacy with the same integrity and excellence.
