Position Summary:
The Marketing Assistant will support the marketing and sales teams by creating visually engaging client-facing collateral such as booklets, posters, brochures, presentations, and other printed or digital materials.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Learn our process to design customized materials for clients from initial request through production and delivery of the project.
- Work collaboratively with account managers, marketing team, and clients on design projects such as employee benefits books, open enrollment posters, sales presentations, etc.
- Manage projects using tools such as Trello and Microsoft Teams.
- Maintain accurate records of customized client collateral.
- Send projects to printers and arrange delivery of final products.
- Proofread copy for spelling, grammar, accuracy, and formatting. Make appropriate changes as needed.
- Ability to monitor, manage and execute various assignments simultaneously at different stages of production; handle large request queues; and deliver in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Collaborate with other members of the marketing team to identify and improve existing systems and processes.
- Manage various templates and keep files organized and up-to-date within an existing system.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite, specifically Adobe InDesign.
- Keen eye for design and detail. Must be able to catch small errors and inconsistencies.
- Exceptional organization and time management skills. Works well under pressure and with tight deadlines.
- Clear and effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as a member of a team.
Education and Experience:
- Associate’s degree or equivalent in graphic design, marketing, or related field.
- General interest in the insurance industry
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
