Livingston, Texas (June 27, 2024) – ANCO Insurance is proud to announce the retirement of Tony Jernigan, Senior Vice President, effective July 1, 2024. Tony has dedicated over 50 years to the insurance industry, starting his career as an independent agent and culminating in his role at ANCO Insurance.
Tony’s impressive career is marked by his deep expertise and commitment to the industry. Specializing in insurance for the forest products sector, he has been instrumental in managing ANCO’s Livingston office. His professional excellence has been recognized with the BITCO Circle of Excellence Award, which he received twice. Tony’s academic background includes a bachelor’s degree in Finance from Texas A&M University, class of 1965. His time at Texas A&M was notable not just for his studies, but also for representing the Aggies on the 1964 rodeo team at the national finals in Laramie, Wyoming.
Ross Gunnels, President of ANCO Insurance, expressed his gratitude and best wishes, stating, “Tony has been an invaluable part of the ANCO family for over three decades. His expertise, dedication, and leadership have set a high standard for all of us. We are immensely grateful for his contributions and wish him all the best in his well-deserved retirement.”
Tony is married to Melissa, and they have a daughter and son who have both followed in his footsteps by working at ANCO Insurance over the years. His retirement marks the end of an era for the Livingston office, but his legacy will undoubtedly continue to influence the company and its clients.
To honor Tony’s retirement, ANCO Insurance hosted a retirement party and open house on June 25, 2024. Friends, family, colleagues, and clients gathered to celebrate Tony’s remarkable career and wish him well in his retirement.
